Me and the President of the United States. And Multiple Sclerosis.

Once upon a time, in an era so far away it should be in black and white, I took no interest in US politics… Presidents would only waft across my consciousness when starting wars or teaching me the word ‘impeach’ by making a mess of a dress and an intern’s life… (younger readers: Google ‘Clinton’, ‘Lewinsky’, ‘I did not have sexual relations with that woman’. And please behave when you rule the world.) Then came a breath of fresh air and a brief, delicious taste of diversity in power with Barrack Obama. MS brain with lesions

Is Blogger’s Block a thing? It is now. Thanks, messed up brain…

So, legions of adoring fans, I haven’t written for a while. ‘Lesions’ of adoring fans, if you know your MS stuff and like a bad pun. The complaints at my deafening silence have been flooding in. Not really. Am not sure anyone has noticed. Hey ho! I have lots of draft blogs which are nearly there, honest… Writing and thinking is therapy anyway, and probably stimulation for my foggy brain. ‘Cos that’s what it is. Foggy. Cloudy. Hazy. I’m in a wheelchair and I have an invisible disability

“Carpe Diem!” they shout, “Seize the Day!” “Yay,” we agree, “We’ll definitely make every day count!” A Grand Day Out. Or not. Except Multiple Sclerosis doesn’t quite let us work like that. It toys with us like a deranged cat with a weary mouse. We make thrilling plans – or even teensy plans – for tomorrow. We make resolutions.
